Swix Pro PS8 Red +4 / -4 is a hard glide wax in the Swix Performance Speed series for ski trips, training, base preparation, and racing in the temperature range +4 / -4 °C.
Red wax for uncertain zero conditions: PS8 is one of the easiest choices when the temperature fluctuates around freezing. It melts easily, works well as a base, and is forgiving when the forecast has not quite made up its mind.
Suitable for
- Conditions on both sides of the freezing point.
- Fine-grained snow, falling fresh snow, and older snow.
- Cross-country skis, alpine skis, and snowboards.
How to use the wax
- Set the waxing iron to 130 °C.
- Melt in the wax evenly. One continuous pass over a skate or alpine ski should take about 8-10 seconds.
- Let the ski cool to room temperature.
- For better durability, the wax can be reheated after about 10 minutes of cooling.
- Scrape with a sharp plexi scraper and brush out the base structure thoroughly.
