Glide wax
Glide wax reduces friction between the ski and the snow, protects the base, and makes skiing easier. Here you will find glide wax for cross-country skis, alpine skis, and snowboards - from simple liquid products to hard waxes for hot waxing.
Glide wax for different skis
On classic cross-country skis, the glide zones in front of and behind the grip zone are waxed. On skate skis, alpine skis, and snowboards, the entire base is treated. Skin skis also need glide wax on the glide surfaces.
Choose by method and conditions
- Liquid glide wax is quick and easy when you want to improve glide without a waxing iron.
- Hard glide wax is melted in and normally provides better durability and deeper protection for the base.
- Choose the temperature range according to the snow and air temperature, but also take into account the snow type, humidity, and how abrasive the surface is.
Scrape and brush thoroughly
After hot waxing, excess wax should be scraped off and the structure brushed out. The wax should remain in and close to the base - not lie as a thick layer on top.
