Skin products clean, care for and protect the skin strip on skin skis. The right treatment helps the skin maintain consistent grip and reduces the risk of dirt, water absorption and icing.

Clean with the right product

Use only cleaner intended for skins. Strong solvents for hard kick wax and klister can affect the fibers or the bonding.

Impregnation and anti-ice

A skin impregnation product can reduce the risk of wet snow freezing onto the skin and make the skin less sensitive to dirt. Apply a thin layer and follow the product’s drying time.

Don’t forget the glide zones

• Clean the skin when the grip becomes uneven or visibly dirty.
• Let the skin strip dry before re-treating.
• Apply glide wax to the zones in front of and behind the skin.
• Store the skis clean and dry after skiing.
