Swix Pro HS8 Red +4 / -4 180g is a hard glide wax in the Swix High Speed series for ambitious training and racing in the temperature range +4 / -4 °C.

Both sides of zero: HS8 is one of the most versatile waxes when the temperature is hovering around freezing. If the forecast is uncertain and you want to avoid choosing too cold or too warm a wax, the red wax is often a smart middle-ground choice. 180 grams suits you if you wax frequently, have several pairs of skis, or want to avoid buying more in the middle of the season.

Suitable for

• Snow conditions on both sides of the freezing point.
• Fine-grained snow, falling fresh snow, and older snow.
• Cross-country skis, alpine skis, and snowboards.

How to use the wax

1. Set the waxing iron to 150 °C.
2. Melt the wax in evenly. One continuous pass over a skate or alpine ski should take about 8-10 seconds.
3. Let the ski cool to room temperature.
4. For better durability, the wax can be reheated after about 10 minutes of cooling.
5. Scrape with a sharp plexi scraper and brush out the base structure thoroughly.
