Swix Pro HS7 Violet -2 / -8 is a hard glide wax in the Swix High Speed series for ambitious training and racing in the temperature range -2 / -8 °C.
Normal winter, no fuss: HS7 is the wax we often start with when the forecast calls for a typical Swedish winter. It sits in the middle of the system, is easy to work with, and performs well over more days than the name suggests.
Suitable for
- Typical winter conditions below freezing.
- Fresh snow, old snow, and varying humidity.
- Cross-country skis, alpine skis, and snowboards.
How to use the wax
- Set the waxing iron to 150 °C.
- Melt the wax in evenly. One continuous pass over a skate or alpine ski should take about 8-10 seconds.
- Allow the ski to cool to room temperature.
- For better durability, the wax can be reheated after about 10 minutes of cooling.
- Scrape with a sharp plexi scraper and brush out the base structure thoroughly.
