Swix Marathon Black (New) 40g

Swix Marathon Black (New) 40g is a hard and durable glide wax for long-distance races in wet and dirty snow. The black additive reduces friction from dirt and particles in the track.

For dirty long-distance race snow: When the snow has become more grey than white, Marathon Black is often a more logical choice than the white version. The black additive is designed to reduce friction from dirt and particles in the track.

Suitable for

• Long-distance races and longer training sessions.
• Wet, dirty, and contaminated snow.
• Warm conditions, but also variable and colder conditions.
• Cross-country skis and alpine skis.

How to use the wax

1. Set the waxing iron to 155 °C.
2. Melt in the wax evenly. One continuous pass over a skate or alpine ski should take about 8-10 seconds.
3. Let the ski cool to room temperature.
4. For better durability, the wax can be reheated after about 10 minutes of cooling.
5. Scrape with a sharp plexi scraper and brush out the base structure thoroughly.
