Snowglide - ski tuning machines, waxing machines and accessories
Snowglide Tools offers equipment for edge grinding, waxing, and checking ski edges. Here you will find grinding machines, CBN grinding stones, Hotbox waxing machines, measuring tools, accessories, and spare parts gathered in one place.
The French company has been developing equipment for ski preparation since 2007, drawing on experience from racing and working together with World Cup technicians. The range includes both machines for home use and equipment for more advanced race service.
Which Snowglide machine is right for you?
- Rhombus: an option for home use and club skiers, with its own series of 50 mm CBN grinding stones.
- AF-C: compact side edge grinder with angle adjustment from 86 to 90° in 0.5° increments.
- AF-W World Cup: for those who want to be able to set the grinding angle steplessly and fine-tune both speed and grinding pressure.
Choose the right grinding stone and finish
Snowglide’s AF series and Rhombus use different grinding stones. Start by choosing the stone that fits your machine, then select the grit. Within each CBN series, lower numbers give a finer finish and higher numbers coarser cutting. The same number gives a finer finish on Rhombus than on other Snowglide machines.
For the AF-1, there are also special stones for the base edge and a double stone for both side edge and base edge. Therefore, check both the model and the work step when choosing a stone.
Waxing machines, measuring tools, and spare parts
The Hotbox series applies molten glide wax with a roller and is available in models for different types of skis and snowboards. With the AM-L, you check the side edge angle, while the AM-1 also measures the base edge angle. The range also includes the PushOff sidewall tool, extraction adapters, storage, and spare parts.
Find the right part for your machine
Match the accessory to the machine model and version. This is especially important for extraction adapters and electrical spare parts. Need help choosing? Contact us and preferably include the model and serial number.

Frequently asked questions about Snowglide
What is the difference between the side edge and the base edge?
The side edge is the side of the steel edge. The base edge is the surface facing the snow, next to the base. Rhombus, AF-C, and AF-W are side edge grinders. For the AF-1, there are also special stones for the base edge.
Does the same grinding stone fit all Snowglide machines?
No. Rhombus uses its own series with a 50 mm diameter. The AF series side edge stones have a 70 mm diameter. The stones for the AF-1’s base edge are a separate product type.
Which stone should I start with?
First choose the correct stone series for your machine. The AF series 46 is an all-round option. Within the Rhombus series, 91 is standard and 46 is fine. Then choose based on the condition of the edge, the work step, and the desired finish.
What is the difference between the AM-L and the AM-1?
The AM-L measures the side edge angle. The AM-1 has a separate support that also makes it possible to measure the base edge angle.
What does a Hotbox waxing machine do?
The wax is melted in a heated container and applied to the base with a roller. Choose the model according to the width of the ski or snowboard and follow the wax instructions for temperature and post-treatment.
