Swix V40 Blue Extra Hardwax -1 / -7 is the classic Blue Extra hardwax for variable winter conditions. It is used in the kick zone on waxable classic cross-country skis.
The world’s best-selling grip wax: It is easy to understand why V40 has become such a classic. It covers a large part of typical Swedish winter conditions and is one of the first tins we think you should have in your wax box.
Suitable for
- Fresh snow and falling snow from -1 to -7 °C.
- Old or transformed snow from -3 to -10 °C.
- Close to 0 °C, it works best in dry air and fresh snow.
How to use the hardwax
- Lightly roughen the kick zone with fine sandpaper if needed.
- Apply a thin layer of base wax when you need extra durability.
- Apply the hardwax in several thin layers in the kick zone.
- Cork each layer evenly before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and add a thin layer if the grip needs to be improved.
