Swix V05 Hardwax Polar -12 / -25 is a classic hardwax for extreme cold. It is used in the kick zone on waxable classic cross-country skis.
A true specialty tin: V05 Polar belongs in the wax box for the coldest days. It is not used every week, but when the temperature really drops, it is nice not to have to try to make a softer wax harder than it is.
Suitable for
- Fresh snow and falling snow from -12 to -25 °C.
- Old or transformed snow from -15 to -30 °C.
- Very cold and dry winter conditions.
How to use the hardwax
- Lightly roughen the kick zone with fine sandpaper if needed.
- Apply a thin layer of base wax when you need extra durability.
- Apply the hardwax in several thin layers in the kick zone.
- Cork each layer evenly before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and add a thin layer if the grip needs to be improved.
