Swix Marathon Powder Black 25g

Swix Marathon Powder Black 25g is a hard and durable glide powder for ski marathons and longer race distances.

For long-distance races in dirty snow: When the base comes back grayer than it went out, Marathon Black is usually more logical than White. The black additive is designed for dirty, water-rich tracks.

Suitable for

• Wet, dirty, or contaminated snow.
• Ski marathons and longer race distances.
• Can also work when the temperature drops.

How to use the product

1. Distribute an even layer of powder over the glide zones. Use enough product to reduce the risk of overheating the base.
2. You may lightly tap the powder with the waxing iron so it stays in place when you start ironing it in.
3. Iron in with a waxing iron at 155 °C. One pass over a skate ski should take about 8–10 seconds unless otherwise stated on the packaging.
4. Let the ski cool to room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
5. For extra durability, the wax can be ironed in a second time after cooling.
6. First scrape out the groove and then the rest of the glide surface with a sharp plexi scraper.
7. Brush with a steel or bronze brush and finish with a fine nylon brush.
