START UNIVERSAL WIDE KLISTER +10 / -5

Start Universal Wide Klister +10 / -5 is a wide-range universal klister for variable and hard-to-judge snow conditions. It can be used on its own or mixed with other klisters and soft grip waxes.

The klister that ties the whole waxing job together: Universal Wide is a very useful working layer when temperature and snow conditions vary along the track. Apply it thinly over a base klister and fine-tune with Start Universal Plus in warmer and wetter conditions, or Start Special in difficult-to-assess zero conditions. Once the layer has cooled, it can also be covered with a soft grip wax.

How to use the product

1. Clean the grip zone and roughen it lightly with sandpaper. When waxing with klister, the grip zone is normally slightly shorter than when using grip wax from a tin.
2. Apply a very thin layer or Start Base Klister Spray when you want better durability.
3. Warm the tube in your hand or in warm water if the klister is stiff.
4. Dot the klister on both sides of the groove at approximately 5 cm intervals.
5. Spread it into a thin, even layer with your thumb, a klister cork, or a suitable scraper.
6. Use Universal Wide on its own or mix in small amounts of Universal Plus or Special depending on temperature and snow type.
7. Clean the groove and side edges, and let the ski cool outdoors before test skiing.
