Start Tar Grip Wax Violet +1 / -1 is a tar-based hardwax for moist fresh snow around the freezing point.
The sensitive zero-condition hardwax: The tar wax is soft and supple in fresh snow, but right around zero, thin layers and a good base wax determine whether you get grip without icing.
How to use the product
- Clean and lightly roughen the kick zone when the base needs renewing.
- If needed, apply a thin layer of base wax and cork it in carefully.
- Apply several thin layers of grip wax instead of one thick layer.
- Cork each layer evenly along the kick zone before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and fine-tune with a thinner layer or a nearby temperature range.
