Start Grip Wax Violet +1 / -3 is a synthetic tin grip wax for older snow around the freezing point.
The zero-condition tin that needs cooling: Violet can be sticky at room temperature. Place the tin in the snow for a while before waxing, and it will be much easier to apply thin, even layers.
How to use the product
- Clean and lightly roughen the kick zone when the base needs a new foundation.
- If needed, apply a thin layer of base wax and heat it in carefully.
- Apply several thin layers of grip wax instead of one thick layer.
- Cork each layer evenly along the kick zone before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and fine-tune with a thinner layer or a nearby temperature range.
