START Grip Tape +5 / -20 is a wide grip tape for classic skis that can remain in place over many outings and varying snow conditions.
Your skis are ready when time is short: Grip Tape is not as finely adjustable as today’s canned grip wax, but it is hard to beat when simplicity and long durability matter more than maximum racing precision.
How to use the product
- Clean and roughen the grip zone according to the instructions on the packaging.
- Roll out the tape evenly in the grip zone and press it down carefully.
- Remove the protective film without lifting the tape.
- If needed, cover with Grip Tape Cover in cold fresh snow or during snowfall.
- Use Start Tape Scraper and wax remover when the tape is to be removed.

- Normally enough for about 2–3 pairs of skis.
- In favourable conditions, it can remain in place for a large part of the season.
