Swix VP45 Racing Pro Blue/Violet -1 / -5 is a blue-violet race-oriented hard kick wax in the Swix VP series. It is used in the kick zone on waxable classic cross-country skis.
Skidvalla.se recommends: VP45 is the bridge between the cold blue hard waxes and the zero-condition waxes. It often becomes relevant when VP40 starts to provide slightly too weak grip.
Suitable for
- New and fine-grained snow from -1 to -5 °C.
- Old or transformed snow from -3 to -8 °C.
- Normal winter conditions where VP40 no longer provides sufficient grip.
How to use the hard kick wax
- Lightly roughen the kick zone with fine sandpaper if needed.
- Apply a thin layer of base wax when you need extra durability.
- Apply the hard kick wax in several thin layers in the kick zone.
- Cork each layer evenly before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and add a thin layer if the grip needs to be improved.
