Product description
Swix Sidewall Cutter Sport is an ergonomic tool for removing plastic from the sidewall of skis or snowboards.
Expose the steel edge before filing: If the file hits the plastic first, the edge angle becomes uneven and the file wears unnecessarily. A sidewall planer therefore does the rough work before the actual steel edge is sharpened.
How to use the product
- Mount the ski on its edge.
- Adjust the blade so that it only cuts sidewall material.
- Work in thin, even shavings from tip to tail.
- Check frequently to make sure you are not cutting into the base or steel edge.
- File and polish the steel edge only once the steel edge is exposed.
