Vauhti Race LDR Black base grip wax 45 g

Vauhti Race LDR Black 45 g is a hard base glide wax for waxing where durability is important. It is developed to improve the bond between the ski base and the next glide layer.

LDR can also be used on its own as a glide wax in varying snow and weather conditions. It therefore does not always need to be covered with an additional layer.

The Black version contains molybdenum disulfide, MoS₂.

Suitable for

• As a base under the next glide layer when durability is important.
• As the only glide wax in varying snow and weather conditions.
• Cross-country skis, alpine skis and snowboards.

Vauhti's racing method

Vauhti's recommendation for this wax format forms the basis for the steps below.

1. Clean the glide surface with Clean & Glide and brush it before waxing.
2. Melt and distribute the wax evenly over the entire glide surface with a waxing iron. Follow the product's current instructions for iron temperature and working speed.
3. Scrape carefully while the wax is still warm.
4. Let the ski cool completely and scrape again.
5. Brush thoroughly with a brass brush, then a horsehair brush and finally a nylon brush.
6. Use the finished LDR surface as it is, or apply the next glide layer according to snow conditions and temperature.
