Ski boot straps

Elastic boot straps replace or complement the standard strap at the very top of alpine ski boots. They can provide more even pressure against the tongue and a more responsive contact between the lower leg and the boot.

An elastic strap can reduce play and make the flex smoother throughout the entire turn. The effect depends on the boot’s construction, the strap’s stiffness, and how tightly it is tensioned.

Choose the right model

• Check the strap length and attachment to match your boot.
• Lighter skiers and juniors normally need a softer solution.
• Stronger or more aggressive skiers can choose a stiffer strap.
• Start with moderate tension and adjust after skiing.

Installation

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure the strap does not interfere with the buckles or the boot’s movement. Retighten screws and check for wear regularly.
