Swix TSP5 Powder -10 / -18 40g is a hard racing powder in the Swix Top Speed Powder series for cross-country skis and alpine skis.
The hardest powder in the TSP series: TSP5 is the cold-condition product when durability and low dry friction are prioritized. The powder format makes it significantly easier to apply evenly than an equally hard block wax.
Suitable for
- New, old, or man-made snow in very cold conditions.
- Cross-country skis and alpine skis.
- The temperature range in the store title is fixed: -10 / -18 °C.
How to use the product
- Distribute an even layer of powder over the glide surface. Use enough product to reduce the risk of overheating the ski base.
- You can lightly tap the powder with the waxing iron so that it stays in place when you begin to iron it in.
- Iron in with a waxing iron at 160 °C. One pass over a skate ski should take about 8-10 seconds unless otherwise stated on the packaging.
- Allow the ski to cool to room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
- First scrape out the groove and then the rest of the glide surface with a sharp plexi scraper.
- Brush with a steel or bronze brush and finish with a fine nylon brush.
