Care of skin skis

The skin strip should be cleaned with products intended for skins. An impregnation or anti-ice treatment can reduce the risk of icing and help the skin maintain even grip.

Grip tape as a simple alternative

Grip tape is applied in the kick zone on waxable classic skis and can provide durable grip across a wide temperature range. It is especially suitable when simplicity and long durability are more important than maximum fine-tuning.

Remember the glide zones

Skin skis and skis with grip tape still need glide wax on the glide zones. Avoid glide wax and strong cleaning agents directly on the skin strip.
