Vauhti Top Race Violet Toppingblock 12 g -1 / -7

Vauhti Top Race Violet 12 g is a topping block applied as the final layer for old or artificial snow. The block is worked in with felt and finished with nylon brushing.

In Vauhti’s waxing recommendations, the Violet block is used over Race Violet liquid in old snow around zero and a few degrees below freezing.

Suitable for

• Race waxing in old or artificial snow.
• As a top layer over a finished glide wax.
• Cross-country skis, alpine skis and snowboards.

Vauhti’s racing method

Vauhti shows the following application for the Top Race blocks. Merino wool on a roto tool is specified as an alternative technique.

1. Prepare the glide surface with a glide wax chosen for the day’s snow and temperature.
2. Rub the block onto the glide surface and work in the layer with a synthetic cork with felt.
3. Rub on the block once more and then work the surface with felt.
4. As an optional extra step, the surface can be treated with natural cork.
5. Finish with a nylon brush.
