Swix V50 Violet Grip Wax +0 / -0 is a violet hardwax for conditions right around 0 °C. It is used in the kick zone on waxable classic cross-country skis.
A bit of wax history: V50 has long been a secret weapon for World Cup service technicians, while also being a favorite tin among recreational skiers. That says a lot about how versatile it is around the freezing point.
Suitable for
- Fresh snow and falling snow at 0 °C.
- Old or transformed snow from -1 to -3 °C.
- Conditions where the snow shifts from dry to moist around the freezing point.
How to use the hardwax
- Lightly roughen the kick zone with fine sandpaper if needed.
- Apply a thin layer of base binder when you need extra durability.
- Apply the hardwax in several thin layers in the kick zone.
- Cork each layer evenly before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and add a thin layer if the grip needs to be improved.
