Start Tar Grip Wax Red 0 / -3 is a tar-based hardwax for fine-grained fresh snow just below freezing.
Red tar for normal fresh snow: Red covers one of winter’s most common fresh-snow temperature ranges and is a good starting point when violet feels too soft and blue too hard.
How to use the product
- Clean and lightly roughen the kick zone when the base needs a new binder layer.
- If needed, apply a thin layer of base wax and heat it in carefully.
- Apply several thin layers of grip wax instead of one thick layer.
- Cork each layer evenly along the kick zone before applying the next layer.
- Test ski and fine-tune with a thinner layer or a nearby temperature range.
