Skigo XC Base Wax is a 45 g base wax that improves the adhesion and durability of kick wax.
The thin layer that keeps today’s tin wax in place: XC Base is the standard base for normal training and racing. It should be ironed in very thinly - a thick base layer makes the grip harder to control.
How to use the product
- Lightly roughen the kick zone lengthwise along the ski and wipe away the sanding dust.
- Apply a very thin layer of XC Base Wax.
- Carefully heat it in with a clean waxing iron.
- Cork the surface smooth while the wax is still slightly warm.
- Let the base cool before applying the day’s kick wax in thin layers.
