Sidecut Micro-Adjustable World Cup Sidewall Planer is a dedicated professional tool with a stainless glide plate, micro-adjustment, and ball-bearing stabilizer.
The sidewall must be removed before the file can do its job: If plastic or titanal is in the way, the file cannot reach the steel edge at the correct angle. The micro-adjustment lets you remove exactly as much material as needed.
How to use the product
- Mount the ski securely on its edge.
- Set the cutting depth with the thumb screw and start very shallow.
- Let the stainless glide plate follow the base while the stabilizer rolls against the side of the ski.
- Pull the tool from tip to tail with even pressure.
- Check frequently that only sidewall material is being removed.
