Wax corks and blocks
Wax corks and blocks are used to smooth out grip wax, work in liquid glide wax, and polish certain topping products. Here you will find synthetic cork, natural cork, felt, and fleece for different steps of the job.
Synthetic cork for hard wax
Synthetic cork provides good friction and is used to smooth out several thin layers of hard wax in the grip zone. Work until the surface is smooth with no distinct edges between the layers.
Natural cork, felt and fleece
Natural cork is often used for liquid products and certain racing waxes. Felt and fleece can provide even application or polishing, but should only be used when specified in the product instructions.
Keep the blocks clean
- Use separate corks for grip wax and glide wax.
- It is a good idea to label blocks used for specific products.
- Store them in a clean bag or box so that dirt is not worked into the base.
