Swix Gummi Stone is used for rust, small burrs, and controlled detuning of the steel edges at the ski’s tip and tail.
Gummi stone means a light touch: It is easy to make a sharp edge unnecessarily dull. Therefore, use the gummi stone with very light pressure and only where the edge really needs to be softened.
How to use the product
- Wipe the edge clean.
- Use the stone lightly on rust, small burrs, or the sections to be detuned.
- Usually work on 5–10 cm at the tip and tail when the ski needs to be calmed down.
- Check frequently so you do not remove more sharpness than intended.
