Right of Withdrawal and Return

As a customer, you always have the right of withdrawal according to the Distance and Home Sales Act; we have extended this to apply for 30 days. The withdrawal period begins from the day you receive the item. However, a prerequisite is that the item is unused and undamaged. You have the right to open the packaging without cost to check that and how the item works within reasonable limits; the item must not be used carelessly. If the item is not in unchanged condition, we may make a price reduction corresponding to the item's depreciation.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to items that cannot reasonably be returned due to health or hygiene reasons and the seal has been broken by the consumer.

Please email us at kontakt@skidvalla.se. We need the following information:

a) order number (found in your order confirmation, on the delivery note, or invoice)

b) your name and contact details

c) number and name of the products to be returned

Skidvalla.se would like to confirm the return and that the withdrawal period has not expired before the goods are sent back. You have 30 days to return the item from the time the notice of withdrawal has been sent. However, you have an unconditional right of withdrawal and do not need to wait for our confirmation. We recommend that the return be made with PostNord, they have a cost-effective service they call "Skicka lätt". The customer bears the return cost according to the Post's postage table and is responsible for the item until it has been received by us. Returns must not be sent as cash on delivery.

You are welcome to use our return portal to send back your goods, especially if they are larger items that cannot be easily sent back in cheap letters.

You can find our return portal via this link.

Refund

If you have an unpaid invoice for your order, it is important that you yourself postpone the due date. You do this on klarna.se or by calling 08-120 120 10. Once we have received and inspected the returned item, we will promptly refund the entire purchase amount including any shipping cost (not the return shipping), but no later than 14 days from the day we received the notice of withdrawal, according to the Distance Selling Act. If you have paid by invoice or direct payment, we will transfer the money to your bank account. If you have paid by card, we will credit the return amount to your card.

Unclaimed Packages

We reserve the right to charge the costs for the handling that arises with unclaimed packages (return shipping, handling costs, etc.). Therefore, we charge a fee of 150 SEK if a package is not collected. The shipment stays with the postal agent for up to 14 days before it is returned to us. Please note that if you regret a purchase and want to return the item, you should first collect the package and then return it as described above.

Complaint

If you have received a defective or wrongly dispatched item, we ask you to immediately contact our customer service. Describe the error as thoroughly as possible. If we cannot solve the problem, you are of course welcome to make a complaint about the product. Making a complaint means that you contact us and tell us that you are not satisfied with an item you have purchased. You also explain why you are not satisfied. A complaint process is usually very simple, but it can also be complicated, contact our customer service and we will assist you in the best way.

Consider this

  • To be able to make a complaint about the item, the defect must be original, meaning it must have existed when you received the item. An original defect does not necessarily have to show immediately when you receive the item. It can be an original defect even if it appears after some time.
  • Normal wear and tear does not fall under original defects, and you must not have caused the defect yourself.
  • You have the right to make a complaint about an item for three years after you have received it.

Your rights in case of a defect in the product
If it turns out to be an original defect, you may have the right to:

  • Have the product repaired (remedy)
  • Receive an equivalent, defect-free product (replacement delivery)
  • Receive a price reduction
  • Cancel the purchase
  • Withhold payment
  • Receive compensation

You cannot make all demands at once. We generally have the right to attempt to repair the defective product or send a new product. As a consumer, you cannot immediately demand a cancellation and refund; we must first be given the opportunity to rectify the defect.

It is important that you contact us and report the defect as soon as possible. If you make a complaint within two months, it is always considered to be done in time.

It is always you who must be able to show that the product is actually defective. During the first six months after purchasing a product, it is we as the seller who must prove that the defect did not exist from the beginning. When more than six months have passed, you must be able to prove that there is an original defect in the product.

In the case of an approved complaint, the consumer has the right to get back all costs and can also demand compensation for other costs incurred in connection with the complaint, such as return shipping. However, the consumer must always minimize their damage.

In the event of a dispute, we follow the recommendations of the National Board for Consumer Disputes.

Any dispute should be resolved by either the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) in Sweden or the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution (EU ODR).
