1. About us and the application of these terms

Skidvalla.se is operated by Vita Guldet AB. These terms and conditions of purchase apply when you, as a consumer, purchase goods via Skidvalla.se. Mandatory consumer protection legislation always takes precedence over any terms that would give you less protection.

To enter into an agreement with us on your own, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are younger, you need approval from a parent or guardian.

Orders from companies, municipalities, schools, Fritidsbanker and other organisations are not covered by the consumer rules in these terms. For such purchases, the terms agreed in connection with the order and otherwise applicable sales law shall apply.

2. Ordering and contract

You place your order at Skidvalla.se. Before you complete the purchase, you can review and correct products, quantities, delivery address and other details at checkout.

Once the order has been registered, we will send an order confirmation to the email address you provided. The purchase agreement is concluded when we have sent the order confirmation.

If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help you, but cannot guarantee a change once the order has already begun to be picked, packed or shipped.

We may combine multiple orders into one shipment when this can be done without disadvantage to you. We may also contact you if an item is out of stock, has incorrect inventory status, or cannot be delivered.

In the event of an obvious error in pricing, product information, or inventory status that you realized or reasonably should have realized, we may correct the error or cancel the affected part of the order. If you have already paid, we will refund the amount without undue delay.

We may refuse or pause an order if the payment cannot be verified, the information is clearly incorrect, or the order is reasonably suspected to be fraudulent.

3. Prices, discounts and product information

The prices shown for the selected market apply at the time of ordering. For orders to Sweden, prices are stated in Swedish kronor including VAT. Shipping costs and any other fees are shown before you complete the purchase.

For deliveries outside Sweden, currency, VAT, customs duties, and other charges may vary depending on the destination country. The amount charged by Skidvalla.se is shown at checkout. Any charges not collected by us are stated in the terms for the selected market or charged according to the rules in the recipient country.

Product images are intended to provide as accurate a representation as possible, but color, packaging, and minor details may differ from the image. The manufacturer may change packaging or minor specifications without altering the product’s main function.

Discounts and promotions apply in accordance with the terms stated for each offer. Discounts normally cannot be combined unless expressly stated otherwise.

Tiered discount and partial return

If a partial return means that the remaining order no longer meets the conditions for the discount tier used at the time of purchase, the discount on the items you keep may be recalculated according to the tier reached by the remaining order. The refund will then be calculated based on the amount you would have paid for the items you keep.

4. Payment

The payment options available for your order are shown at checkout. Depending on the option selected, payment may be handled by an external payment service provider, for example Klarna, a card acquirer, PayPal, or Swish.

When an external payment service is used, the provider’s terms also apply. The provider may carry out identity or credit checks according to its rules. We share the information required to administer the payment in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Shipping and delivery

Available shipping options, current shipping rates, and estimated delivery time are shown at checkout. In-stock items ordered before 14:00 on a non-holiday weekday are normally shipped the same day, but this is a target and not a guarantee.

You will receive a delivery confirmation with tracking information once the shipment has left the warehouse. The normal delivery time within Sweden is stated on the Shipping and delivery page.

The risk for the goods remains with us until you, or someone you have appointed, have received them. Please inspect the package when you receive it.

If the delivery is delayed, you have the rights provided by the Consumer Sales Act. Contact us and we will help you. If we have not agreed on a specific delivery time, the goods shall be delivered without undue delay and no later than within the time limit set by law.

Incorrect address and changed delivery

You are responsible for ensuring that your name, address, telephone number and email address are correct. Contact us immediately if anything is wrong. Costs arising due to incorrect information may be charged to you if the error is on your side and the cost is reasonable.

6. Uncollected parcels

Allowing a parcel to be returned as uncollected is not the same as exercising your right of withdrawal. If you wish to cancel the purchase, you must clearly notify us.

If a parcel is not collected and is returned to us, we may charge our actual and reasonable costs for return shipping and handling. For a standard parcel, the fee is currently SEK 150. For bulky shipments, the actual cost may be higher.

You will receive a refund of the amount you paid for the goods, less any permitted fee. If you want the goods to be shipped again, a new order and a new shipping charge may be required.

No fee will be charged if the parcel is returned due to an error for which we or the carrier are responsible, or if you have cancelled the purchase due to a delivery delay and are entitled to do so.

7. Statutory right of withdrawal - 14 days

When you shop remotely, you normally have the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days under the Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts Act.

The withdrawal period starts to run on the day after you receive the goods. If an order is delivered in several parts, the period normally starts to run on the day after you receive the last part.

How to notify us that you wish to cancel the purchase

Within the withdrawal period, you must provide a clear notice that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. You can use:

Keep the receipt of acknowledgement, email, or other documentation showing when you notified us.

Return the goods

Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the purchase, the goods must be sent back without undue delay and no later than within 14 days from the notice. You normally pay the return shipping.

Pack the goods well and return them complete. Keep the drop-off receipt and tracking number.

Inspection and diminished value

You may inspect the goods to the extent necessary to establish their characteristics and function, roughly as you would in a physical store. If the goods are handled more than is necessary, we may make a deduction for the diminished value caused by such handling.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply in cases exempted by law. This may, for example, apply to goods that have been manufactured according to your instructions or given a clear personal character, as well as sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken.

8. Voluntary open purchase - 365 days

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, Skidvalla.se offers a 365-day open purchase policy. The period is counted from the day you received the item.

The voluntary open purchase policy applies when the item is:

  • unused, undamaged and complete
  • in resalable condition
  • returned with original packaging, labels, manuals and accessories where applicable
  • free from tape, shipping labels or damage directly on the product packaging

Consumables such as ski wax, klister, liquids, cleaning agents, powders, repair materials and similar are covered by the voluntary open purchase policy only when the packaging is unopened and the product is unused.

Special-order, custom-made or personally marked items are not covered by the voluntary open purchase policy.

When a return is made after the statutory withdrawal period, the price of the item will be refunded. The original shipping cost, any surcharge for a more expensive delivery method, and the return shipping cost will not be refunded.

The difference in brief: within 14 days, you can use the statutory right of withdrawal. After that, our voluntary open purchase policy applies, which has stricter requirements that the item be unused and in resalable condition.

9. How to make a return

  1. Register the return in the return portal or contact us.
  2. Enter the order number, email address and which items you want to return.
  3. Pack the items well, complete and in suitable outer packaging.
  4. Follow the instructions for return shipping and keep the proof of submission.

Returns may not be sent cash on delivery or collect on delivery.

10. Refund

When you exercise the statutory right of withdrawal, we will refund the payments we have received for the returned items and, when the entire order is cancelled, the cost of our cheapest standard delivery option. Any additional cost for a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded.

The refund will be made no later than within 14 days from the day we received your notice of withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until we have received the item back or until you have shown that it has been sent back.

The refund is normally made using the same payment method that was used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

For returns under our voluntary open purchase policy, the refund is normally made within 14 days after the return has arrived and been inspected.

If you have chosen invoice or instalment payment, you should pause the invoice with the payment service provider until the return has been registered and processed.

11. Complaint and warranty

If an item is defective, you have the right to make a complaint under the Consumer Sales Act. The right to complain applies for three years from the day you received the item.

You must make a complaint within a reasonable time after you noticed or should have noticed the defect. A complaint made within two months from when you noticed the defect is always considered to have been made in time.

Defects that appear during the first two years after you received the item are, as a general rule, presumed to have been original defects, unless we can prove otherwise. After two years, you may need to show that the defect was original.

How to make a complaint

Contact customer service and provide:

  • order number
  • which item it concerns
  • a clear description of the defect
  • photos or video when they help us assess the case

Keep the item, the product packaging and the shipping packaging until the case has been investigated. Do not return a complained-about item before you have received instructions from us.

Your rights in the event of defects

In the event of a defect for which we are responsible, you may, depending on the circumstances, be entitled to free repair or replacement delivery. If the defect cannot be remedied within a reasonable time, a price reduction or cancellation of the purchase may be relevant. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonable costs caused by the defect.

In the event of an approved complaint, we will cover the necessary return and delivery costs.

Warranty

Any warranty from us or the manufacturer is a voluntary undertaking and applies in accordance with the warranty terms for the product. The warranty does not limit your statutory right to make a complaint.

Transport damage or incorrect item

If you have received the wrong item or a delivery with visible transport damage, please contact us as soon as possible. State the order number and preferably send clear photos of the item, packaging and shipping label.

12. Personal data

We process personal data in order to administer orders, payments, deliveries, returns, complaints, customer service, accounting and other legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with suppliers and partners when necessary to complete the purchase or when we have another legal basis.

Newsletters and other electronic marketing are sent according to the choices you have made and applicable rules. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the mailing.

More information about processing, storage period, recipients and your rights can be found in our privacy policy.

13. Content and intellectual property rights

Texts, guides, images, graphics, logos and other material on Skidvalla.se belong to Vita Guldet AB, our suppliers or the respective rights holders. The material may not be copied, published or used commercially without permission, except as permitted by law.

14. Disputes and applicable law

We always try to resolve issues directly together with you. Please contact us first at kontakt@skidvalla.se.

If we cannot reach an agreement, you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). We participate in ARN's proceedings and follow the board's recommendations.

Swedish law applies to the agreement. If you are resident in another country, this does not limit any mandatory consumer protection that may apply in your country of residence.

The EU's former platform for online dispute resolution, the ODR platform, has been discontinued and is therefore no longer used.

15. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms and conditions when legislation, payment methods, delivery solutions, or our business changes. The version available when the order was placed applies to your purchase.

16. Notice of cancellation
