Scrape off old glue wax with a scraper and a groove scraper, we recommend using a special grip wax scraper together with a fiberlene cloth when scraping off the old glue. Then apply Wax Remover, making sure it does not get on the sliding surfaces. Wait for 30 seconds. Wax Remover dissolves remaining glue. Now you can wipe the grip zone with Fiberlene. For glue, it is advantageous to first use a fibertex cloth. Then let the ski rest for 10 minutes so that all wax remover evaporates.
Cleaning the grip zone from old glue wax:
Glue Waxing
A tip is to preferably apply glue indoors in the warmth.
Roughen the grip zone. Use sandpaper (P80-P120) on the ski's grip zone so that the surface becomes roughened. This makes the wax adhere better to the base.
First, apply a very thin layer of hard glue at the bottom, for example, Blue or Violet glue. Thin streaks every 10 centimeters. See the film.
Now you can apply the glue that suits today's conditions. A tip is to preferably use a hot air gun or similar to heat the glue. Avoid open flame on the skis as much as possible.
Do not be afraid to apply. Fairly thick dabs with 3-4 centimeters in between. Many apply too thinly. (It is only with falling new snow right at zero degrees that you should be careful with thick layers of glue.) Smooth out with your thumb or a block. See the film.
Let the skis cool outdoors before you head out on the trail. Important!
