Files

To sharpen your steel edges, you need both files and burrs. A file is initially used to set the correct angle on the edge, then it is used to repair any damage that occurs. For maintenance and continued grinding, you use the bristles. The diamond edge makes the edge very sharp while not grinding down the material as much. Read more about grinding steel edges here.
