Product description
The Swix file clamp holds the file or stone firmly against the angle guide while you sharpen the steel edges of skis or a snowboard. A simple yet useful accessory that makes it easier to work with even, controlled strokes and keep the tool in position throughout sharpening.
The strong spring provides a secure grip, while the clamp is easy to release when you want to switch from a file to a diamond or ceramic stone. Practical when working step by step from sharpening to final polishing.
Which file guides does it fit?
The clamp is used with open angle guides that have room for a separate clamp, such as Swix Side Edge File Guide. The guide determines the sharpening angle and the clamp holds the file or stone in place.
How to use the product
- Place the file or stone flat against the angle guide's contact surface.
- Open the clamp and secure it over the tool and guide so that the tool is held firmly.
- Check that the tool is correctly positioned and that the clamp clears the base before you start sharpening.
- Release the clamp when you need to move or change the tool.
