The base waxes give the wax an improved wear resistance.

Start by roughing up the surface of the skis. 100 grit sandpaper is recommended. Then add a layer of base wax and warm up. When it has cooled down, the ski is ready for the day's climbing wall.

Start has two different base walls:

• Start Base Wax – For normal snow conditions. 
• Start Base Wax Extra – This product. For coarse-grained snow and abrasive conditions, such as artificial snow.
