Waxing irons, with temperature indication, are a must for serious waxing. Do not use an old iron but one that is intended for ski waxing. Preferably one with a thick plate, around a centimeter. They maintain the temperature evenly and steadily throughout the entire waxing process. You use the waxing iron for more things than just melting in glide wax. You can and should also melt in the first layer of grip wax so that subsequent layers adhere better. Just be very careful to clean the iron between the different types of wax. Ideally, you have one waxing iron for glide wax and another waxing iron for grip wax. Here you will find a guide to our irons
