HS5 is the hardest glide wax in the High Speed series. High Speed (HS) is specially developed for younger competitive skiers and ambitious recreational skiers. All waxes in the series have high performance and good wear resistance. This makes them an affordable alternative for both competition and training.
HS5 is an excellent choice for cold snow thanks to superior wear resistance and dry friction properties. An excellent choice for alpine, snowboard and cross-country skiing. Despite being a wax for cold snow, its melting point makes it easier to apply than many similar waxes in this area, without compromising glide properties. This is how HS5 is applied: The application with a waxing iron on a skate or alpine ski should take about 8-10 seconds. The wax can be reheated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better wear resistance. Brush with a plexiglass brush after about a minute. It is important to have a good waxing iron for the wax to melt effectively. HS5 can be used as a competition wax on its own or as a base wax for other competition products. Recommended temperature on the waxing iron: 160 °C.
