Scrapers are used to clean and scrape the skis from excess wax. It's important to remember not to use the same plastic scraper to remove glide wax and grip wax. Scrapers are consumables that become dull over time, which makes it worth considering buying a sharpener, as working with a dull scraper makes the task tedious and much more difficult.

A must for all waxing is an acrylic/plexiglass scraper in any thickness; we personally like 3mm. Additionally, you need another scraper to scrape the groove on cross-country skis, which can also be used to clean the edges of both cross-country and alpine skis.
