Fluorocarbons in waxing products can harm both nature and those who work with the wax.

The challenge for wax manufacturers is to be able to build an environmentally friendly product that can compete with fluorine. Fluorine has undoubtedly been the best performer in waxes so far. The good news now is that wax manufacturers have been able to create products with the same excellent glide properties and durability as fluorine waxes for some years now.
