Swix Fibertex T267N Combipack.

Fibertex is used a lot for cross-country skis to roughen up the grip zone under the ski. For alpine skis, and cross-country skis for that matter, it is good to have for polishing repairs of the base. Fibertex is also used to remove oxidized base, remove microhairs from the base, and open up the structure in the base so that it can absorb more wax, without damaging the structure of the skis.

Contains three different Fibertex in the size 150x110mm. Fine (T266), Medium (T264), and Medium/Coarse (T266N).

Swix Fibertex T266 - Fine (White).
Based on flint stone as an abrasive. Used for example on newly stone-ground skis to remove the finest microhairs from the base. Gives your base the finest surface possible.

Swix Fibertex T264N - Medium (Gray).
Based on silicon carbide as an abrasive. To refresh and open up the structure in the base. Removes hardened oxidized base that has not been waxed for a long time. Also removes microfiber from the base that has been torn up by coarse-grained abrasive snow.

Swix Fibertex T266N - Medium/Coarse (Purple).
Based on aluminum oxide as an abrasive. Very uniform abrasive particles that give an even result. Very good for smoothing out scratches in damaged bases. Also used before waxing to remove oxidized base and open up the structure in the base so that it can absorb more wax. Also removes microfiber from the base that has been torn up by coarse-grained abrasive snow.
