PS5 is the hardest wax in the series and is an excellent choice in cold conditions due to its superior durability and dry friction properties. PS5 is an excellent choice for both alpine and cross-country skiers. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, its melting point makes it easier to apply than many similar waxes in this area, without compromising glide properties. PS5 works well on all types of snow in the cold. From new snow to transformed snow and artificial snow. The application with an iron on a skate or alpine ski should take about 8–10 seconds. The wax can be reheated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Scrape after about one minute. It is important to have a good iron to melt the wax effectively. PS5 can be used as a competition wax on its own or as a base wax for other competition products. Recommended iron temperature: 150 °C.
