Product description
Swix TSP8 Powder +4 / -4 40g is a hard racing powder in the Swix Top Speed Powder series for cross-country skis and alpine skis.
TSP around the freezing point: TSP8 is the powder for the wide range on both sides of zero. We like to use it as a durable race wax or as a base under a liquid top coat.
Suitable for
- New, old, or artificial snow around the freezing point.
- Cross-country skis and alpine skis.
- Temperature range: +4 / -4 °C.
How to use the product
- Spread an even layer of powder over the glide surface. Use enough product to reduce the risk of overheating the base.
- Lightly press the powder in with the waxing iron so it stays in place when you start heating it in.
- Heat in with a waxing iron at 160 °C. One pass over a skate ski should take about 8-10 seconds unless otherwise stated on the packaging.
- Let the ski cool to room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
- First scrape out the groove and then the rest of the glide surface with a sharp plexi scraper.
- Brush with a steel or bronze brush and finish with a fine nylon brush.
