PS5 is the hardest wax in the series and is an excellent choice in cold conditions thanks to its superior wear resistance and dry friction properties. PS5 is an excellent choice for both alpine and cross-country skiers. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, its melting point makes it easier to apply than many similar waxes in this range, without compromising glide properties. PS5 works well on all types of snow in cold conditions. From new snow to transformed snow and artificial snow. The application with a waxing iron on a skate or alpine ski should take approximately 8-10 seconds. The wax can be reheated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better wear resistance. Brush after about one minute. It is important to have a good waxing iron for the wax to melt effectively. PS5 can be used as a competition wax on its own or as a base wax for other competition products. Recommended temperature for the waxing iron: 150 °C.
