Brushes

What do the different brushes do?

  • Brass, bronze or steel brush removes oxidized coating and material that clogs the pores in the coating so that the coating can receive new fixing wax and sliding wax.
  • Soft bronze, horsehair or nylon bristles remove excess wax and smooth the surface to maximize glide.
  • Cork brushes are used to cork out the wax thinly and evenly, and through the frictional heat that occurs, it is very well done.

Brushes are available both as hand brushes and as roto brushes which are used together with a screwdriver/drill. If you are going to groom a lot, regardless of whether it is cross-country skiing or alpine skiing, we can really recommend roto brushes.
