Product description
Swix Panzer File is a coarse, durable repair file for smoothing plastic, sidewalls and excess base material after P-tex repairs. The long file is also a practical tool for tidying up worn alpine skis.
Tidy up the topsheet after steel-edge impacts
When skis knock together or cross, the steel edges can leave nicks and damage on the other ski's topsheet and along its outer edges. The Panzer file lets you smooth raised plastic, sharp burrs and uneven areas around the damage. This gives the skis a tidier appearance and a smoother surface that is more comfortable to handle.
How to use the product
- On the topsheet and along its outer edges: carefully file away raised material with light, controlled strokes. Follow the shape of the ski and remove a little material at a time.
- On the sidewalls: smooth uneven plastic until the surface is level.
- After base repairs: work flat across excess P-tex until the repair is level with the surrounding base.
- If needed, finish with finer sandpaper or Fibertex for an even final finish.
- Clean the file thoroughly after use.
