Swix World Cup Ceramic Edge Finisher gives steel edges their final, fine finish after sharpening. Its ceramic surfaces remove remaining burrs and wire edges, leaving a clean, truly sharp edge with a better basis for confident grip. Developed for racers, it is also very easy to use at home when you want to give your skis the same careful finishing treatment.
Make the most of your sharpening
Small burrs can remain along the edge after filing or diamond sharpening. Ceramic Edge Finisher helps remove them as the final step in edge preparation. This makes it particularly useful if you already take care with sharpening and want maximum sharpness for training, racing or days on hard snow.
Three ceramic surfaces in one stable tool
Three ceramic stones are combined in a sturdy metal holder that you guide along the steel edge with light pressure. The design makes final deburring easy to repeat, even when preparing several pairs of skis. A carefully designed tool for the last step that makes the edge ready to ski.
The stones can be cleaned and replaced. When they need renewing, keep the holder and fit a new set of Swix ceramic replacement stones. This makes the tool a lasting part of your tuning-room equipment.
An excellent complement to EVO Pro Edge Tuner
Ceramic Edge Finisher works particularly well after sharpening with Swix EVO Pro Edge Tuner. Let the machine do the sharpening, then finish with the ceramic tool to remove the last burrs. It also works as a final step after manual edge preparation with a file and diamond stone.
How to use the tool
- First complete your normal edge preparation with a file, diamond stone or sharpening machine.
- Position the finisher over the steel edge so that the ceramic surfaces make contact.
- Guide the tool along the edge with very light, even pressure. Let the ceramic do the work and check the result before repeating.
Easy cleaning
Clean the ceramic stones with warm water and washing-up liquid, rubbing the surfaces with your fingers. Stubborn metal residue can be removed with an eraser. Let the stones and tool dry before storage.
