Product description
Choose DH7 Black when the snow is damp and dirty or coarse enough to wear wax away quickly. Used as a base layer for alpine racing, it complements the original DH7 from -2 to -8 °C. The difference is the black tungsten disulfide additive, which improves wear resistance and helps reduce friction caused by static electricity.
A silicone-based additive repels water to reduce suction between ski and snow. A polyethylene hardener helps the base absorb the wax and makes the blend of paraffin and synthetic waxes more resistant to wear.
The balance of hardness and elasticity makes it easy to iron on an even layer. In alpine racing, the wax delivers stable glide at speeds above 100 km/h and helps protect against base burn where pressure builds in the turn.
How to apply
- Iron in the wax with the waxing iron set to at least 140 °C.
- Let the ski cool for at least 30 minutes.
- Scrape off the excess wax and brush the base thoroughly.
