Suggested basic range
The proposal covers the most common jobs on alpine skis, cross-country skis and snowboards: securing, edge maintenance, minor base repairs, cleaning, liquid and solid glide wax, and simple grip waxing. Adjust the quantity and level according to how many skis you handle.
The total applies to the specified sizes and variants in the starter setup. Prices update automatically. Adjusted quantities and stock availability are confirmed when ordering.
A stable working position is the foundation of safe, efficient maintenance. Ski vises and brake retainers free both hands and give you control.
Stable three-piece ski vise for alpine skis. Makes it easy to work on both the base and steel edges.
A good ski holder is the most important foundation of the workspace.
Keeps the ski brakes out of the way throughout the job and makes it possible to work safely with one hand.
A 10-pack is enough for several workstations and spare bins.
Start by exposing the edge. Then set the correct angle with a file and finish with a diamond stone for a smooth, sharp and durable edge.
Removes plastic from the sidewall so the file and stone can reach the entire steel edge.
Used before filing when the plastic is in the way.
Adjustable base edge holder from 0.5 to 2 degrees. Provides stable support and an even angle.
For most alpine skis, a small base edge bevel is sufficient.
Stable side edge file guide with several angle options and rollers running against the base.
Makes it easier to repeat the same angle on many skis.
Coarse file for damage and for setting a new angle on worn steel edges.
Use sparingly. Move on to a finer file when the edge is straight.
Medium file for ongoing maintenance after the coarse file and before final finishing.
A useful all-round file for regular service.
Fine file for final finishing before the edge is polished and maintained with a diamond stone.
Removes less material and gives a smoother finish.
Coarse diamond file for beveling and sharpening worn steel edges.
Use the file dampened and finish with the medium file for a smoother finish.
Medium stone for regular maintenance and finishing after the coarse diamond stone.
Use the stone dampened and with light pressure along the steel edge.
Minor base damage can be repaired on site. Use the appropriate cleaner for the grip zone and glide zones, refresh dry or oxidised bases with Fibertex and finish with liquid glide wax when needed for quick, routine maintenance.
Black base repair material for minor nicks and damage in the ski base.
For larger or deep damage, professional base repair is recommended.
Levels and smooths minor base repairs after the repair material has cooled.
Work calmly and keep the scraper flat against the base.
Steel, horsehair, and nylon brushes for cleaning the structure and polishing after glide waxing.
Three brushes make it easy to keep coarse cleaning and final polishing separate.
Universal liquid glide wax for simple and effective treatment without a waxing iron and hot scraping.
Apply thinly, let dry, and polish with a nylon brush or Fiberlene.
Durable lint-free paper for cleaning, application, and polishing of glide wax.
A roll should always be kept close to the workbench.
Dissolves hard grip wax and klister in the cross-country ski's kick zone before rewaxing.
First scrape off as much old wax as possible, then work with Fiberlene.
Cleans the ski's glide surfaces of dirt and old glide wax residue without mixing the cleaning with the kick zone.
Apply with Fiberlene, brush while the product is wet, and let the base dry before rewaxing.
Refreshes the base, removes light oxidation, and helps open the surface before cleaning and saturation.
Use with light, even pressure. Fibertex should not replace a proper base grind.
At least once a year, the glide surfaces should be cleaned, hot-cleaned and saturated with solid glide wax. This helps prevent dry bases, extends the life of the skis and provides a durable foundation for alpine skis, cross-country skis and snowboards.
Digital waxing iron with stable temperature for hot cleaning, saturation, and regular hard glide wax.
Follow the wax's specified temperature and keep the iron in constant motion over the base.
Soft base glide wax for hot cleaning and saturation of dry, new, or freshly ground bases.
An annual cleaning and saturation with hard glide wax extends the life of the base and provides a better foundation for further waxing.
All-round scraper for removing excess cooled hard glide wax before brushing.
Keep the scraper sharp. A dull scraper requires more pressure and makes the work unnecessarily heavy.
When preparing many pairs of skis, a waxing machine, separate trays and larger packs of glide wax are faster and more economical than using a waxing iron on every pair.
Waxing machine for fast, even application of hard glide wax when many pairs of skis need to be prepared.
The machine is supplied with one tray. Extra trays make it easy to keep different waxes separate.
Extra tray with roller and lid for the T60, allowing you to switch between waxes without cleaning the same tray every time.
A separate tray for each frequently used wax saves a lot of time in a larger workshop.
Universal glide wax in pellet form for efficient waxing of large numbers of alpine skis, cross-country skis, and snowboards.
Especially well suited for use with the T60 when many rental skis need a durable base treatment.
A small but well-chosen grip wax range makes waxable classic skis much more enjoyable to borrow. Hard grip wax provides traditional grip, while grip tape is a simple, long-lasting option for skis used by many different people.
Classic hard grip wax for cold winter conditions and waxable cross-country skis.
Build several thin layers and cork each layer evenly into the kick zone.
Combines sandpaper for light roughening of the kick zone with a synthetic block for smoothing the hard grip wax.
Roughen lengthwise and wipe away the sanding dust before applying the grip wax.
Long-lasting and easy-to-apply wax tape for waxable classic skis across a wide temperature range.
A practical option for rental skis since the wax can stay on through many outings.
These products are not always essential on day one, but they keep the work area clean and help you achieve consistent results over time.
Protects clothing from base repair material, grinding dust, and wax, and keeps small tools close at hand.
Useful when several people share the work.
Cleans the teeth of the files so they continue cutting effectively and do not clog with metal filings.
Brush the file regularly during the work.
Dulls the steel edge at the very front and rear where full sharpness is not needed.
Work carefully about 10-15 cm from the ends of the ski.
When you are ready to expand
Waxing tables, dedicated holders, an electric edge grinder, larger packs of consumables and roto brushes are sensible investments when many skis pass through the workshop. Keep manual tools for smaller jobs, final checks and maintenance away from the workbench.
Stable waxing table for a permanent or movable workstation with plenty of space for tools.
An existing sturdy workbench also works excellently.
Compact profile for preparing cross-country skis when you want to expand service beyond alpine skis.
Cross-country skis require a different holder than alpine skis.
Sturdy holder that provides the right support for servicing the snowboard base and steel edges.
Snowboards require a wider and more adapted work surface.
Electric edge grinder for fast and consistent sharpening when many alpine skis need maintenance.
Always keep the manual tools for smaller jobs and control.
Complement the edge grinder with coarse and medium wheels for different conditions of the steel edges.
A fine wheel is normally included with the machine. Check the desired quantity when ordering.
Protects the Swix EVO Pro Edge Tuner and keeps the machine, grinding discs, and accessories together between jobs.
Especially valuable when the equipment is moved or shared between multiple workstations.
Large workshop roll of lint-free cleaning cloth for wax remover, wiping, and ongoing ski service.
200 meters gives a lower consumables cost when many skis are being handled.
Nylon rotor for final polishing after scraping and the coarser brushing steps.
Used as the final step to achieve a clean and even glide surface.
Stiffer horsehair rotor that effectively removes wax residue after scraping and opens the structure for finishing.
Fits 100 mm roto systems and is used before the nylon brush.
Steel rotor for deeper cleaning and opening of the base structure before waxing and for thorough brushing out.
Work with light pressure and keep the brush moving. Finish with horsehair and nylon.
Complete handle with protective cover and 100 mm shaft for Swix roto brushes in workshop size.
One handle is sufficient for the nylon, horsehair, and steel brushes when the brushes are changed between work steps.
A simple workflow
Check the bases, steel edges, bindings and brakes. Set aside skis that need more extensive repairs.
Secure the ski firmly in the appropriate holder and retain the brakes to keep the working surface clear.
Fill minor base damage, level the repair and use the appropriate cleaner for the grip zone and glide zones.
Expose the side edge, file if needed and finish with a dampened diamond stone.
Iron in solid glide wax, let the base cool, then scrape and brush. Liquid wax can be used for quick, routine maintenance.
On waxable cross-country skis, apply hard grip wax or grip tape to a clean, lightly roughened grip zone.
Better skis start at the workbench.
Good glide and reliable edges make a difference from the very first slope.
A little regular maintenance means more great ski days and a longer service life.
