TS5B is the hardest wax in the TSB series and is an excellent choice in cold conditions, both for cross-country skiing and alpine skiing. It is a favorite among service staff thanks to superior durability and good glide on dirty snow. This can be attributed to new additives that also help reduce friction on very cold snow. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, its melting point makes it easier to apply than many alternative waxes in this area, without compromising glide properties. The application with a waxing iron on a skate or alpine ski should take approximately 8-10 seconds. The wax can be reheated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Cork after about one minute. It is important to have a good waxing iron for the wax to melt effectively. TS5B can be used as a racing wax on its own or as a base wax for other racing products. Recommended temperature for the waxing iron: 160 °C.
