During a ten-year period, Christer Majbäck was one of the world's best skiers with 5 WC medals and an Olympic medal. When Christer ended his active career and bought SKIGO in 1996, the ambition was to provide skiers, regardless of their goals, with high quality , innovative and easy-to-use products at a competitive price. SKIGO is still working towards that ambition and today SKIGO is represented in 18 countries around the world.

All production and all tests of the whey mixtures takes place in SKIGO's own factory in Kiruna , Sweden's only walla factory. Other products are manufactured in carefully selected factories mainly in China, Pakistan and the Baltic countries.

SKIGO offers unique products where many years of experience and careful priorities speak for themselves.

During the 2014 Sochi Olympics, 70-75 percent of the medals on the mound were taken from SKIGO.
